Graduation!

Wow, it finally happened. On Thursday, Kristina graduated from high school. In retrospect, I know it seemed like it would never get here (with almost all of her friends a year older and already off on missions or at college), then, it was her turn. We've never seen her as happy as she was that week--all week smiling and happy as can be. My dad and aunt, Delores, came up for the Big Day. Rich's parents were going to come, but couldn't because his dad had a kidney transplant. He's still having some after effects/problems from the surgery, too. Since she was a sophomore, we knew graduation day was coming and at times it was hard facing the fact that she would be leaving soon, but other times it hasn't been as hard especially lately, knowing how excited she is to go to college.

All week was filled with Graduation Activities--Seminary Graduation (YAY!), Senior Awards night (Kristina got tassles for Spanish Honor Society and Academics--she was ranked #16 in her class of almost 600 students) and actual Graduation at the new football stadium. Boy, was it hot that day (after having snow the week before--yes, snow!), but I'd definitely rather have heat than snow any day! A Graduation party for friends and family (lots of cooking in an already busy week) And then the Stake President's award for Seminary.

And now, starting her first jobs--working for a clinic and moving company. Probably, the worst has been going to take the drug tests for each job. Not fun, but she likes her new jobs and is already learning a lot from the medical job.
